Stories of Hope and Transformation: View the inspiring journeys of children we have helped
In 2003, eight-year-old Jyothilakshmi was watching a chariot festival in Tamil Nadu when a surging crowd pushed her under the wheels of the chariot, crushing her leg. Doctors in her village suggested amputation, but her family refused to give up. A well-wisher led them to HOSMAT Hospital, where Dr. Thomas Chandy and his team performed a series of surgeries to save her limb. Today, Jyothi is pursuing medicine and aspires to be an orthopedic surgeon, a heartfelt tribute to the doctors who gave her a second chance at life.
Jyothilakshmi’s Journey: From Trauma to Triumph
Four-year-old Ramya from the Soliga tribal community was hit by a mini tempo, severely crushing her right foot. With no financial means for treatment, her family turned to HOSMAT Hospital, where doctors provided life-saving surgery and rehabilitation through public donations. Today, Ramya walks again, ready to embrace life with confidence.
Ramya: A Tribal Girl’s Fight for Recovery
Little Janani was severely injured in a road accident, with her right leg nearly destroyed. Her father, a struggling cinema hall worker, couldn’t afford the treatment. Thanks to HOSMAT’s Poor Patients Fund, Janani received multiple reconstructive surgeries and a new chance to walk and play like any other child.
